Hello Kaki
Official Rules
These placeholder rules explain the intended v1 contest mechanics and should be reviewed by counsel before launch.
Skill-based judging
Hello Kaki is a quirky, skill-based competition. Entries are scored by AI on multiple criteria — including estimated size, shape, caption humor, creativity, and presentation — and may be manually reviewed for eligibility. A caption is required with every entry. The exact scoring formula is determined at the operator's discretion and is not published.
Weekly prize
Each contest runs for one week, from Monday 00:00 Eastern to Sunday midnight Eastern. Each valid entry costs $1.99. The highest-scoring eligible entry of the week wins that week's prize, funded from net revenue after payment processing fees and taxes. The prize amount for the current contest is shown on the site while it is live and confirmed when the contest closes. Winners are verified before payout.
Hidden rankings
Current leaders, scores, and rankings are not shown while a contest is active. Results are announced after the contest ends.
Fresh photos
Entries must be photographed during the contest week they are submitted to. Where a photo carries capture metadata, it is checked against the contest window and anything taken beforehand is held for manual review. Many photos legitimately arrive without metadata — messaging apps and screenshots strip it — so its absence alone does not disqualify an entry.
Fraud review
Manipulated, duplicate, cropped, unverifiable, AI-generated, or otherwise suspicious submissions may be rejected or placed in manual review.
Rankings and the leaderboard
Scores and rankings are sealed while a contest is live. Once the contest closes, each entrant sees their KakiScore and final placing, and the highest-scoring entries appear on the public leaderboard. The leaderboard ranks entries, not people: entrants receive a fresh anonymous nickname with every entry.
